Truly an energetic and fun, baby-boomer band that performs a variety of traditional and contemporary Celtic music as well as Folk/Bluegrass/Country and Gospel.

Bodhran Drum

Claddagh’s versatility is largely due to the band members who have performed professionally within many different music genres and have a collective music acumen of nearly 300 years. The band incorporates fiddle, guitar, keys, drums, bass, vocal harmonies and a female lead vocalist who also plays bodhran (Celtic drum) and other fun percussion. Most have a family heritage that includes Irish/Scottish or Welsh music and together they enjoy exploring those Celtic roots through music that will have your toes tapping one minute and your heart soaring with praise to the heavens the next.

Tunes old and new – familiar and original - the material that Claddagh does includes lots of jigs and reels like Rakes of Mallow, Road to Lisdoonvarna, Star of County Down, Cup of Tea, Dennis Murphy/Sean Ryan’s Polka; some fiddle airs that will bring tears to the eyes of even the most nominal romantic; and vocal features like: A Bunch of Thyme, Mari’s Wedding, Molly Malone, Tennessee Waltz, Maggie, Dust in The Wind and gospel favorites like Swing Low Sweet Chariot, Will The Circle Be Unbroken, I’ll Fly Away, to the ancient Welsh Hymn sung in true Celtic style in Gaelic- Dyma gariad fel y moroedd (Here is Love).

Come have a great time with us at our upcoming gigs. This is music…made for people that just like to have a good time. We love the traditional Celtic sound but Claddagh really surprises everyone with some new and different twists and variations on the theme.
